I retrieved my old GotoSocial instance from the dusty shelf. Previously, I learned my lesson after deleting everything and allowing a valuable Fediverse domain to be wasted. This time, I made sure not to delete everything.
I plan to test it for a while to decide if I want to hit the big "move" button again.
All these people migrating to GotoSocial. I might just set up an instance for myself too later tonight.
I had this nightmare last night where I dreamt I had an Android phone, and was forced to migrate to Google Photos.

To prepare, I migrated my own mailbox (jorijn.com) to the new platform. I'm genuinely impressed: A traditional yet well-tuned stack of Dovecot, Exim, and SpamAssassin easily outperforms iCloud in speed and search performance.

Set up an instance of Uptime Kuma over at https://status.hosting.jorijn.com. This software is so cool, and easy to set up.
It's running on a € 3,50/month VPS over at Hetzner.
With the new #garmin Fenix 8, they increased the prices of their watches by ..a lot.
Now they're introducing a premium subscription with "AI" capabilities.
