I never thought I'd say this; I'm printing a poop bucket.

A good morning to you, from the deep end of the #3DPrinting rabbit hole. 🐰☕️

@mystygage there's a bunch of people exchanging experiences with this on the /r/Garmin subreddit.

Movie gif. Rowan Atkinson as Mr. Bean in Mr. Bean's Holiday, stands in a field of yellow flowers on a windy day. He looks off into the distance and then at his watch, before scratching his head.

Waiting on the release of @gotosocial support in @ivory

Context wasn't in the blog post, had to guess as a result. NFS shouldn't be considered production-grade for storage requirements in Kubernetes. You'll end up running into problems eventually. It's not my project of course, but if there's an alternative option; I'd reconsider.

Can you migrate to S3/MinIO as a step inbetween VMs and Kubernetes?

You can do that without even taking the instance offline. I've done so before using a stepped try_files in NGINX. When GETing, It first checks if the file exists on S3, if it doesn't, it fetches it from local storage, or another S3 bucket. This'll continue operation for the instance, while you rsync the data in the background.

Something that caught me off guard recently: With native #Kubernetes NetworkPolicy resources with #Cilium, you can't select Kubernetes resources by CIDR range. If you need to allow certain traffic to lets say, the API server originating from a Pod, this is not possible by default.

Luckily, there's a flag: https://docs.cilium.io/en/stable/security/policy/language/#selecting-nodes-with-cidr-ipblock

Unfortunately, due to backwards compatibility, they can't make this the default behavior.

Please don't use NFS in Kubernetes. It's common bad-practise :-)

@me as I tell my 10-year old: You're allowed to break certain rules, but you must man-up and accept the consequences that come with them.

@me I feel this. Rhythm is a thing.

@catzilla Yes. Creatine works best if you keep a steady level of increased Creatine in your blood. This only works if you do it daily.

@ivory @mookie @mastometrics @bufferapp is the desktop codebase shared? e.g. will the Mac app support this as well? If so, consider me a subscriber.

Baught a little Black Friday present for myself: Bambu Labs P1S (3D printer).

The wife is now sending me models of various #Christmas decorations, board game addons, and cookie cutters.

@z3r0 oof, that'll have me running in circles for a while. 😂

For the first time in my #DevOps career, I can finally produce a #Kubernetes NetworkPolicy without having to look up its spec.

Is there a badge, or a special level to be earned here? 🐳

That's correct. Mastodon doesn't support sending markdown, but it does support presenting it, it the post originates from another type of instance.

This is one of those days where I'm just ruling out one cause after another, just because some developer couldn't be bothered to detail what caused an error.

@kev There's someone at Google having a great laugh right now.

I’m looking for a visual designer for a rebrand of my website for my professional services. Tell me about your work or perhaps a great designer you know about. Boosts are appreciated! Website: https://jorijn.com

That's great! When can we expect it?

I think that if [random consumer electronics company] can offer 30-40% discounts for Black Friday, the product(s) are otherwise vastly overpriced. There's making a healthy profit, and there's this.
