My son now solves Rubik’s cubes in under 75 seconds. He tried to explain it to me but I couldn’t follow.
Very proud and also a bit annoyed at that I’m now less smart than a 12-year old. 😂
Talk to me about your favorite browser. I want something else than Chrome.
Kubernetes 1.36 quietly buried one of the worst RBAC patterns in production

Spent 4 hours on the #motorcycle today. Consider myself properly done for the day, and I still have a half-hour ride to get home.
In my search for a better web, I stumbled across https://orionbrowser.com/ and https://kagi.com/.
Have I been living under a rock, or are these guys genuinely unknown? Their offering seems great.

Noticed a traffic bump; turns out my article was featured on ArsTechnica. Cool :)

The sad thing here is, I had to find out on Reddit. I would've expected #Cpanel to email me or use more urgent means of reaching out.
An authentication bypass security issue has been identified in the cPanel software (including DNSOnly) affecting all versions after 11.40.
This one is ugly, folks. Go update your servers now, and run the detection script.

Symfony at 20: what the quiet framework got right

Two articles that I recently read about this topic that resonate with me:
1. Faster Thinking ≠ Better Thinking (https://medium.com/@Chaumeton/faster-thinking-better-thinking-41198d6fb1f9)
2. Thinking well in the age of AI (https://www.theschooloflife.com/web-article/thinking-well-in-the-age-of-ai/)
I've been wondering where this #ai usage ends. It's been replacing junior and mid-level engineers, cutting the path to becoming a senior engineer.
Solving complex issues with your own brain is becoming less and less common. In the meantime, we're getting more dependent on these models to do the hard work for us.
I've been looking up research claiming that our ability to think deeply and our memory are rapidly deteriorating when we heavily use AI, and that scares the shit out of me.
