Two weeks ago, I got myself a new iPhone 16 Pro Max because my old 14 was pretty banged up. I was excited about the huge, bright screen and had always been curious about the bigger iPhone models.

However, once the novelty of the impressive screen size wore off, I found the device to feel somewhat clumsy and awkward to handle. So today, I exchanged it for the regular sized iPhone instead.

@stfn I've been using Phanpy. It works great for GTS.

Video of two cats grooming each other, while loudly purring.

Took this video a couple of days back. I never grow tired of these moments, and I hope I get to enjoy many more. 🐱 #CatsOfMastodon (If you’re into purring ASMR, put the volume up.)

@mookie I understand. Both methods have upsides. I like having an archive :)

It's 27 degrees Celsius in the sun in our backyard. These days are great. I'm looking forward to the summer.

@mijndert

We should probably just refer to them as "mastodon.art and friends" hereafter.

@bert_hubert I'm pretty happy with running a personal instance.

@mookie did you know about https://github.com/VyrCossont/slurp? I just imported all my Mastodon archives here. It's awesome.

I have never used custom emojis in #GotoSocial, but they seem like a great way to federate my new logo into the Fediverse.

Here it is: :logo:

@jelle sounds like a great setup. Have fun tinkering tonight :)

@jelle GTS isn't made for HA deployments, so I'd keep it as simple as possible. You could, however, consider CNPG because SQLite on network-backed storage doesn't perform that well.

@jelle This works; I can tell from experience. :-D

@jelle

I need to use hashtags to be discoverable. As long as the people on the major instances follow me, those posts will be distributed for content discovery. Relays work both ways; if an instance receives my post, it will push it onto relays for other instances as well.

@Gina, @mijndert, and I used to run toot.community. I'm happy to help with DevOps-related work if needed.
