"Yes, a currency that takes 20 minutes to do a transaction" -> Wrong.
"that usually involves drugs" -> Wrong.
"because you can't spend it on anything else." -> Wrong.
I usually don't reply to the folks that wrongfully made up their mind about things, but this is just ridiculous. You need to do your homework before bashing something publically.
@andycarolan I've noticed that skin irritation does happen with silicone bands. It's an issue known to Garmin users as well. I've switched to Nylon bands. They're more comfortable, and no more skin irritation.
@andycarolan
Switched to a Garmin Fenix 7 Pro. But, if you don't need a sports or smartwatch, any classy gentements watch would do.
Here's a first: Training effect of "Recovery" for this mornings run. #Garmin's DSW, or any other training program always had doing recovery runs at a higher pace or heart rate. They always end up being labeled as "Base" run.
I've started a training plan from #Stryd today. Felt nice. It takes a bit of getting used to #running on a Power metric, but it's a lot more stable than pace (GPS issues) or HR (is lagging).
Glad is was dark outside though, it was embarrassingly slow. 8:05/km. 😂
The little girl starting walking the last couple of days. It’s literally baby steps, but I’m so proud of her. So fun to watch her discover and learn.
@mookie
I don't agree that the senior's answer should be produced by any senior. It might be more "cool looking", but the cognitive load of understanding it, is too high. I always refer to this chart. The most experienced developers have felt the pain of maintaining layer on layer of abstractions, and mostly resort to simple code.
@mookie Yes! Haha. This screenshot is taken from the GotoSocial interface. It explains that suspending the local account will federate its deletion to other servers.
@mookie That was my point, though I'm not sure if I fully understood your intentions. If your goal is to delete the remote posts, you can locally suspend the account as it will federate the deletion of that account to all remote servers.
If that wasn't the intention, forgot what I said :-)
Either way, welcome from (to?) the other side.
@mijndert I have a headlamp. You can check out the Noxgear Tracer 2. They have one for the future dog as well.
@ruud Als ik zo mijn contacten in de retail aanhoor is BF één van de grootste inkomstenbronnen jaarlijks. Ik erger me er zelf mateloos aan, maar we houden het collectief blijkbaar zelf in stand 😅
I've been coding on a reiteration of the previously made "Loki the Cat" bot. It uses AI to generate witty comments about current news events. This time, I'm using the Anthropic API (Claude AI), and I find it a breeze to use. They have excellent tools for prompt tuning.
It's still in beta, so the humor/sensitivity/prompt will need work. If you like to take a look, and hopefully get a chuckle every now and then, follow @loki
Feedback is always welcome!
@jap I was hoping for generated routes. Trying to keep the whole running experience ..laagdrempelig :-). I'll be trying Komoot soon, lots of people recommending that.
@WTL That's awesome. We live on the outter side of the city, so a wrong turn can easily add 3km or more. I'm not yet far enough with my training where those distances become irrelevant.
@benjamineskola Thanks! I've received multiple people mentioning Komoot. I'll try it on my next big run.
